Disney DVD’s for Christmas
Saturday we took our 2 yr old to see the new Frog Princess movie by Disney, but I must say as happy as we were with the good message of the movie, we were just as disappointed with the dark themes in the movie. I can understand a little good vs. evil and maybe even general dark images but the movie was filled with images of a very dark voodoo world. The villain was a voodoo master using voodoo powers to trap or destroy the heroes and heroins of the movie.
I can’t say I didn’t enjoy the Princess and the Frog, when in fact I did, Disney makes great movies. I am just not sure it will make it to my DVD collection for my 2 yr old. Disney is a great movie company. I would and do still endorse them and I will keep going to Disney Land as often as I can, I just wont be buying the Princess and the Frog DVD for Christmas. I think I will be buying more family friendly products.
