Day 1 Workout

The 300 workout was a success today. In other words I actually completed the workout. As you may know, if you know anything about the 3oo workout – it’s tough! Was I actually able to do all the correct weights no but I adapted the program to my current strength and fitness level. Here’s the stats and a reminder of the workout.

* 25 pull-ups – I did 20
* 50 deadlifts at 135 pounds – I did 65 pounds
* 50 push-ups – I did 50 :)
* 50 box jumps with a 24-inch box – I jumped over an 18 inch flat box
* 50 “floor wipers” (a core and shoulders exercise at 135 pounds) – did 50 without holding the weight
* 50 “clean and press” at 36 pounds (a weight-lifting exercise) – I did it with 45 pounds
* 25 more pull-ups — for a total of 300 reps – I did 25  but needed some jump assistance

Time to complete was 20 minutes, no breaks or rests were taken other than setting up weights and I was exhausted. When I was done I thought my heart was going to explode. It took 4 minutes for my heart rate to get down to 110 BPM and 20 minutes for my breathing to get back to normal.

Overall I feel great that I finished day number 1 – ONLY 89 DAYS TO GO!
